There is no such place like Altiplano in the world. This is a 3,750 m above the sea level plateau, dominated by tens of volcanoes of 5,000 – 6,300 m tall. This combination of volcanoes, salt flats and lakes in unreal colours makes the landscape look like coming from another planet. It is only the variety of animals that reminds the traveler he is still on Earth. Photos in the gallery are taken mainly in Bolivia, but there are few from Argentina too. I am lucky to visit these lands during the rainy season when the atmosphere is dynamic and short storms come almost every afternoon to offer unique photographic opportunities.
