The Andes in Peru consist of several ranges with snowy peaks that may compete in their shapes and beauty only with the Himalayas. Photos in this gallery are taken during treks in Cordillera Blanca, Cordillera Huayhuash and Cordillera Vilcanota. Each morning I get up before dawn, due to the temperatures below zero freezing my tent, searching for the first rays of light touching the mountain peaks. I climb 5,000 m passes with 20 kg rucksack on my back day after day. In the evenings, while boiling rice on the camping gas stove I dream about true meal. But the views that appear around me deserve all these efforts.
